About the event

Adolfo Sanchez will be receicing the 2017 CFFA’s Emerging Designer Award. In recognition of his outstanding work and talents as one of the most influential emerging designers.

The Ciné Fashion & Film Awards, (CFFA) which airs exclusively on Cinémoi, garnered millions of media impressions – and honors fashion films, groundbreaking designers and iconic talent from around the world. Last year the notably, Sidney Poitier was bestowed the "Timeless Icon Award", and dozens of other illustrious talent were acknowledged for their innovative contributions to the world of fashion and cinema.

This year’s October 8th event will be held at the El Capitan Hollywood historic theater, featuring a live- broadcast and tribute to the 18th century Ziegfeld Follies with an opening tribute performance to Fred Astaire by American stage, Emmy winning television and movie actor Obba Babatunde with dancers from the Debbie Reynolds Dance studios, for Cinémoi (Channel 236 on Verizon Fios and Frontier.)

The night will be filled with tons of press and celebrities. This exclusive event will be hosted by Cindy Crawford. Confirmed celebrities include Akon, French Montana, Donna Karan, Zac Posen, Melanie Griffith, Barbara Streisand, Iman, Stevie Wonder and many more.

This event benefits the nonprofit “Children Uniting Nations”, which was started 20 years ago by Daphna Edwards Ziman to offer academic and community-based mentoring to at-risk foster youth.

After being featured in countless magazines and having the great opportunity of working with so many amazing people, Adolfo Sanchez has grown his business into a brand that offers ready to wear, evening, and bridal. “I’m inspired by everything - people, places, music, and there is so much more to do, that I sometimes wonder if I have become obsessed with this industry”
