About the event
Fantastic opportunity to sponsor a family event which supports charities UK-wide! This event will see at least 5,000 attend with an interest in sport, charity and activities for children. Our coverage will benefit from support through our media partner "Edinburgh Evening News" part of the Johnstone Press group. Our Santa Parade with his real reindeer will also benefit from various press and t.v. coverage through our pr activities.

Opening Christmas Santa Parade
The 2015 Edinburgh Christmas Charity Festival will open with our first ever Christmas Santa Parade through the heart of Stockbridge, an affluent area within Edinburgh. Santa will travel in his sleigh pulled along by his six reindeer with an escort of Elves with Santa’s little helpers.

This annual event is now in its fifth year and goes from strength to strength with many stalls to browse around within the comfort of our large marquee. Opportunities to purchase gifts, plus many activities for the kids to enjoy each day. Our quality coffee bar, food & drink stalls will keep the public well refreshed.
Entertainment
Next to our main marquee is an under cover stage with entertainment and live music provided by a variety of bands, choirs and performers throughout the whole weekend.
Santa’s Grotto
Another attraction is our wonderful Grotto which was fully booked. All the children have time to chat to Santa, receive a wonderful gift bag and have their photo taken. Santa’s reindeer will be situated in the pen next to the grotto, to keep Santa company.
Edinburgh Christmas 5k & 10k Run
Our popular 5k & 10k runs are open to all seasoned runners or beginners.
Special prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male & female runners. All runners have their individual place and times recorded. Plus, they also receive a goody bag with a medal.
Edinburgh Christmas 10k Walk
Our aim is to make the walk a fun and memorable day out for everyone. No one will be excluded. The walk will enter the Royal Botanic Gardens of Edinburgh before heading along the leafy pathways of the Water of Leith culminating in the final stretch finishing in Inverleith Park.
The Golden Tinsel Mile Walks
These walks are suited for the elderly and disabled looking for a little bit of a challenge. Our eldest participant to date was a 101 year old gent completing one of our mile walks with his zimmer frame!
The Santa Toddle & Parade
The toddlers (approx. 1,000) will join Santa as he sits in his magnificent sleigh being pulled along by his favourite reindeers behind award winning “George Watsons Pipes & Drums.” After the parade all toddlers receive a Santa Toddle Medal, certificate and goody bag.
