Chinese Ghost Festival 2016,

About the event

INTI IU Chinese Ghost Festival 2016 is organizing by Chinese Cultural Society (CCS) which is a Chinese-based society in INTI International University (INTI-IU). This Chinese Ghost Festival 2016 will be held in INTI-IU Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH), at 13^th -14^th September 2016. The event will start from 6.00pm to 11.00pm.

It is a brand new event which will become one of the main event in future CCS that can create an awareness toward more people about the origin of Chinese Ghost Festival. Basically, this event will organized at the Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH).There is a tunnel which built inside the MPH. Throughout the tunnel, we will have about 6 stations and an exhibition booth for participants to visit and get the information through the real situations/cases and also we will have some Chinese ghost walking inside the tunnel to create an awareness that why we cannot do mistake in our life, or else we will become the hunger ghost which living on the streets. Also, after they finish the tour inside the tunnel, we will have some booths for them to buy some light refreshment (e.g.: bread, biscuit or drinks) and also play some games after they exit from the tunnel.

There are three (3) activities for our participants to experience, expose, and draw a lesson from it. For example, we will create a horror situation in each station such as a youngster jump from the building which committed suicide, he/she will receive variety of punishment after dead. So that they have an awareness to prevent from doing this in the future and able to reduce their criminal minds and suicidal thoughts. There are eighteens (18) level of hell in our culture which represents different type of mistake that people made will received each of the punishments from that.

Lastly, we do promote this festival not only in INTI but also public in the future. It is because majority of public do not understand the origin of this festival and some of them may feel very horror and disgust even they are Chinese. So we have a big responsibility to let them understand about this festival. 

Objectives

•  To reinstate the glory and splendour of Chinese traditions particularly among students.

•  To create an awareness in term of other religions or other nationalities can understand and respect Chinese culture and also this festival.

•  To attract international student which able to provide more information about Chinese Ghost Festival which held by CCS to create an awareness not only for Chinese where all other races or religions can join us to understand about it.

•  To provide more information about the origin of Chinese cultural/ festival every year to all of the students so that they able to understand what are we celebrating in Malaysia throughout the year, not only know some famous festival such as Chinese New Year and Moon Cake Festival.

The sponsor should support on our event, it is because can save a lot youngster's life and create awareness among them through the games and learn on visualize when they are stepping into this Chinese Haunted House.

What youngster or youth can learn:

- Don't do bad things: rob, rape, committed suicide and so on

- Can know the chinese culture from this event

- Can know the tradition of Chinese Culture through the event

- Can learn from the retribution

This is an education and scary event for youth to learn and lead them into right way of success.
