About the event

ChessMine is a company founded by four young entrepreneurs with the intention of changing the game of chess in India. Our first event will be in Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India, on August 5-7.

This is our first tournament, yet it is already the strongest event in India. It is recognnized by the Assosciation of Chess professionals, and is part of the ACP tour, about which you can find more here: http://www.chessprofessionals.org/content/about-acp-tour.

This is just the starting point, and in the future, we intend to diversify in various ways. Other projects of us include creating courses for schools, universities, setting up academies all over India, and working with visually challenged people to help them get better at chess. 

This is a very young and ambitious company.

Why should you sponsor?

ESPN India will do a small segment on our event, which'll give coverage and visibility towards a large population in India.

Chessbase GMBH, which runs the news portal www.chessbase.com is the largest chess news website in the world, with around 90000 viewers per day, largely concentrated in europe. This provides good coverage and viewership in Europe.

We came here at the last minute because one of the investor who had promised backed out suddenly.

Personally, I am a grandmaster who has played chess for 18 years and I am among the top 600 players in the world, and top 25 in India.
