About the event
Checkpoint 2025 is an upcoming 3-day hackathon (essentially a coding competition) in the heart of Dubai, made by teenagers for teenagers. Organised by Hack Street - a registered non-profit, supported by Hack Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, which is experienced in hosting successful hackathons.
Why should you sponsor?
At Hack Street, we recognise a serious deficiency in practical coding skills. We’re taught how to code in class, but we’re rarely ever given the chance to build our own projects. And speaking from experience, this is causing the passion for coding to slowly die out.
Therefore, we have made it our mission to rekindle the fire of passion within our community and bring more tech opportunities to the Middle East...But we cannot shape the next generation of innovators without the support of our sponsors.

Layal MelhemMy name is Layal. I'm a high school senior and a member of Hack Street - the organisers of this event. We are a team of advanced Computer Science students, experienced in hosting hackathons. So far, we have hosted a total of three very successful hackathons, including Counterspell Dubai, Wes:Hack 2024 and Scrapyard Sharjah 2025.
