On 4th December 2015 I am organising a fundraising Zumba Event with the owner of New U Fitness, which will include a raffle and am looking small samples that will greatly boost my fundraising efforts for CRY.
Every week in the UK at least 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. Since its formation in 1995, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) has been working to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). CRY supports young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers bereavement support to families affected by YSCD. CRY promotes and develops heart screening programmes and funds medical research. CRY publishes and distributes medical information written by leading cardiologists for the general public. CRY funds fast track referral, screening and cardiac pathology services at leading UK hospitals.
I am raising money for the CRY because they supported by family after the loss of my 17year old cousin. Matthew Hughes (as seen below) went so sleep on Easter Sunday 8 years ago and never woke up. The support that CRY gave his parents and sister was amazing. However, even more importantly they are working hard to prevent SADS from affecting more young people and their families. This is an fun filled evening with ZUMBA, FOOD, DRINK and even more dancing. The event is raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young.http://www.c-r-y.org.uk/
We will be inviting many people along to the event to Zumba well into the night. 50% of the ticket price will go to the Charity as food and drinks need to be paid for. We are hoping you can find a sponsor to cover all of our out goings for teh event.
