About the event

Let me start with a brief introduction. My name is Kirsty McLeod, I'm 38 years old and from Edinburgh, and I was diagnosed with mouth and neck cancer in March of this year. I have since undergone major surgery in April to remove the tumour and I am now at home recovering having spent 2 weeks in hospital. I have been advised that I need 6-12 months to make a full recovery. For me this was such a horrific ordeal, and something that too many people have to go through.

I am aiming to complete various events to raise as much as I can for Macmillan Cancer Support and I have so far raised over £900 purely from donation gifts. My fundraising page is here:

I am writing to you concerning a sponsorship opportunity with Macmillan Cancer Support and I know that your company contributes to the wider community. I am holding a charity black tie dinner and entertainment event with an auction for Saturday, 22 November 2014. We have been successful in securing one of Edinburgh's elite historic venues at the Mansfield Traquair. The Mansfield Traquair gives you absolute uniqueness being one of the most sought-after venues in Edinburgh.

Please be advised that this will be a high publicity event and tickets will be on a first come first serve basis. This exclusive event will cater for a maximum of 250 people from some of the UK's largest organizations, therefore making it a good opportunity for networking.

Below are the details concerning the sponsorship levels for this event:

£8,000 - Tier-1 Package: Includes 2 tables at the event (20 people). Prime publicity advert in the event brochure. Banner with your company name and logo.

£5,000 - Tier-2 Package: Includes 1 table at the event (10 people). Advert in the events brochure.

Your sponsorship will help Macmillan provide the necessary help and support to cancer patients like myself.
