About the event

The month of June is a significant month for observing the Survivors of Cancer (June 7th National Cancer Survivor’s Day). As an innovative an inspirational Theater Company in Memphis, TN., Captain Theater will to celebrate the lives, hopefulness, strength and endurance of all individuals and families affected by Cancer and those who have overcome many insurmountable obstacles to continue to fight this disease within our society.

On Saturday June 27, 2015, Captain Theater Production Company will put on an innovative Stage Play Production entitled "Celebrating Hope" as a fundraiser for
Ronald McDonald House of Memphis to bring a sense of awareness and inspiration to Memphis and the surrounding community.

This event, entitled, “Celebrating Hope", will attract a diverse crowd of Cancer survivors along with their families, professionals and all citizens from the Memphis Metropolitan area and surrounding communities. This event will take place at The Buckman Theater for Performing Arts venue located in Memphis, TN.

I am elated because this will be the beginning of a wonderful series of productions executed by Captain Theater and we would be honored to gain your support.

Captain Theater is a theater production company launched by Ms. Curzetta Monik’ Austin in September 2014. Over the years, Curzetta has gained varied experience in the Creative/Dramatic Arts through working with many schools, churches and community organizations.

Captain Theater endeavors to continue to spread messages of love, hope and inspiration through creative writings, Stage plays, prose/poetry and other
dramatic expressions to impact the lives of those who experience these creative performances.

The Mission and purpose of Captain Theater is to present dramatic and evocative works of Art through creativity in stage plays, screenwriting and poetic
expression that will portray significant life messages and meaning to diverse audiences.

Captain Theater seeks to convey encouraging, inspiring and motivational messages that initiate change and impact the lives of communities near and far.
