More about our Charity, Cazfest:

Cazfest was established by Johnny & Lesley Johnstone in 2008 in memory of their daughter Caroline Johnstone (Caz), a healthy 17 year old student at Bishops Stortford High School, who collapsed suddenly from an undiagnosed heart condition and despite the prompt attendance of medical services, failed to regain consciousness and sadly died a few days later.

Cazfest aims to prevent tragedies like Caroline’s through providing free ECG screenings for young people and increasing awareness of heart risk in the young through our regular fundraising events. Over the past 5 years we have screened over 1,000 young people in Hertfordshire & Essex. While most people we screen are thankfully given the all clear, others have issues identified which need treatment. With your support we can screen many more young people in Hertfordshire & Essex and save lives.



About Cazfest 2015 Festival:

Cazfest is held in July each year on Sworder’s Field, Bishop Stortford, Hertfordshire. Last year’s event brought Alexander O’Neal, X-Factor’s Rough Copy, Ed Drewett, Artful Dodger and many more international and local acts who performed to over 2,000 people. Previous headline acts include, Scouting for Girls, Sugarbabes, Lemar, SClub, The Hoosiers and many others. The event predominantly attracts a family audience in the daytime and a teen/young adult crowd in the evening/night (18-35 year olds).

Touched by the story and inspired by previous Cazfests, there is now a solid team of local volunteers, working to organise the event but it is as important as ever to secure funding to support the logistics of the day and secure headlining acts.

This is an excellent opportunity for businesses looking to raise their profile locally and to be associated with a strong community based initiative, or simply an opportunity for individuals to contribute to a local cause.
