CPC2015, Dare to Praise…
The Catholic Praise Concert (CPC) is a free one-day, Gospel music concert. It debuted on the 26th of April 2014, and is evolving into an annual Catholic evening of Praise music offering. It features Holy Mass, praise, worship, dance, and special highlight performances by some of the best-known musical talents in the Gospel music genre across traditional and contemporary music culture such as hymnal, praise-worship, dance, and pop-gospel. "The Catholic Praise Concert has now become the biggest Catholic themed Gospel musical concert in Africa".
At the earlier edition the Catholic Praise Concert had run from afternoon to evening starting at 3pm and running through till about 10pm the same day; an inspiring 7 hours of uninterrupted prayer, and Praise Offering to GOD. It is simply an opportunity for Christians to come together to praise GOD, interact, put aside un-Godly differences, and together lift one voice in worship to God. In a simple sentence - an offering of PRAISE to God; our lives must go from Grace to Praise of God, that Heaven may take notice of us and our beloved country.
The maiden event had in attendance, The clergy, State dignitaries, Captains of Industry, media houses, young people of different ages and general music lovers; these demography are our projected audience for Catholic praise Concert. The Catholic Praise Concert is an “evangelization through music” project set up by the Felicia Michael SoS Foundation (FMSoSF).
The 2015 event will be held on Saturday, 23rd May 2015 starting from 3pm at the University of Lagos main auditorium. The theme for this year is DARE TO PRAISE and it will be starting with Holy Mass, ministering live on stage are: The RESURRECTION Choir, AXIOS Choir, Prisca D Nightingale, St. Cecilia Choir Unilag, Kellar Thrillz-Fix Crew, De Supreme Gospel According to Dance, Goody Bama Orchestra, Kenny K’Ore, FLORocka, Peace Makers, St Michael the Archangel Choir, among others. Entry is Free!
