About the event
The Capitol Pride Festival will be held on August 5, 2017 at the Salem Riverfront Park Amphitheater!
Weather for our 2017 event is expected to be sunny, in the 80’s and perfect for driving attendance.
As in years past, Capitol Pride event grounds will be near the restrooms, just south of the carousel horse, and near our beautiful river banks.
Family Building Blocks, an organization supporting children and their families, will be hosting their annual event adjacent to ours; this should increase foot traffic and awareness for both events. In addition, Salem’s Movies in the Park will wrap our day by featuring Zootopia at 8:30PM.
All in all, Saturday, August 5th should prove to be a Fun Filled Day for the entire family!

Why should you sponsor?
Our mission is to promote understanding and education regarding LGBTQ+ issues, and to foster a sense of community for all people - together.
To further these goals, we offer the annual Capitol Pride Celebration each year in Salem, OR. This event brings local vendors, non-profits and information booths to the community, along with an opportunity to enjoy festivities, entertainment, family and friends, in a welcoming environment.
In these changing times, the number of people seeking community support and acceptance is growing, and so is our event.
In order to manage this growth and continue offering our non-profit venue, we must seek more sponsors!
