The Capital City Christmas Classic is an annual fundraising event that brings together some of the Washington, DC area’s top young professionals for a weekend of celebration over great music, great cocktails and great fellowship for an even greater cause. After eight consecutive successful years, this year’s event is already one of the area’s most anticipated events of 2019, expecting over 900 attendees between the ages of 25-35 dedicated to raising scholarship funds for the SVGS Foundation.
What once started as a purposeless Saturday evening party, the event now dedicates an entire weekend of initiatives slated to include community service, networking events and culture, delivering a truly amazing experience for attendees from around the country in the Nation’s Capital.
Proceeds from the weekend’s event are then donated to the SVGS Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering, educating, and encouraging African-American scholars to attend Historically Black College and Universities.
Mark A. Williams is the author of The Brand Builder Book, and an award-winning digital marketing strategy consultant.
Throughout his career he has led countless marketing projects as the Founder of Brigital; a Digital Brand Marketing Manager with Newell Brands (Rubbermaid) and a Digital Marketing and Campaign Management Consultant with Accenture. Some of those projects include digital marketing strategies for some of the world’s most recognizable domestic and global brands; including L'Oreal Cosmetics, AstraZeneca, Calphalon, US Auto Sales, Contigo, Boys and Girls Club of America, Cox Communications, Sharpie, Elmer's Glue, Parker Pen and rOtring.
Mark is also recognized as a member of the 2017 Who's Who in Black Atlanta, the Chairman of Social Events for the Emerging 100 of Atlanta and the Director of Marketing for the Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, while #TheBrandBuilderBook was featured in RollingOut magazine and the #2017BlackList in 2017 and the Capital City Christmas has been featured on Bossip in 2018.
