About the event
The Canary Challenge is an annual cycling event and 5K walk/run that raises money for early cancer detection research. Our amazing community of cyclists, volunteers and sponsors come together each year to take part in one of Northern California's premier fundraising events. Together we have raised millions of dollars to fund research programs that are improving cancer detection and survivorship. Join us!
Fundraising dollars benefit the Canary Foundation, the world’s first non-profit organization dedicated solely to the funding, discovery and development of tests for early cancer detection.
Why should you sponsor?
The Canary Challenge presents a number of different sponsorship activation opportunities to associate your company’s brand with its support of the Canary Foundation and its cancer early detection programs.
The event is a premium ride experience with a focus on three attractive target audiences: riders from Silicon Valley companies, cycling enthusiasts who participate and closely follow cycling as a sport, and Stanford University and Hospital communities who support innovation in cancer research and care.
The Canary Challenge uniquely brings together world-class stars of road cycling combined with a breathtaking coastal route and food and drink that is representative of the best Northern California has to offer.
Canary ChallengeSince 2012, Canary Challenge has brought together an amazing community of cyclists, volunteers and sponsors, all in support of stopping cancer early. We’ve raised millions of dollars for research programs that are developing methods to detect cancer earlier and more accurately, when chances of beating it are greatest. Fundraising dollars directly benefit the Canary Foundation, the world’s first non-profit organization dedicated solely to the funding, discovery and development of tests for early cancer detection.

Canary Challenge has five routes, including a family-friendly 5K that participants can run, walk or bike, and four cycling routes ranging in distance from 50 km to 100 miles. Along the routes, there are a total of six rest stops with snacks, water and entertainment for participants - and we're looking for sponsors for each one! Contact us for the different levels of sponsorship, starting at $2,000.
