Cambridge Open 2017,

About the event

This is the second Cambridge Open organised by us. Last year it was a graded tournament with A, B, C and Ladies grades. We had over 50 players entered to the event that ran over three days.

This year we would like to make the event a PSA Closed Satellite to attract players from the professional circuit. This means it would go on the professional calendar.

We're hoping to grow the event year on year and would aim for the next tier in PSA next year but for now we need to secure funds for the prize money pot.

Why should you sponsor?

Our sponsors will get good exposure through our players who cover a large variety of occupation and interests. The event shirts are worn by them for many years after the event, often at completely different parts of the country.

Also, the event will take place at the Cambridge University Sports Centre, just after the exam period which means that the sponsor could have very good exposure for Cambridge graduates running up to the event.

My name is Reka Burmeister, a lower-level squash professional, mainly due to the fact that I have a day job as a Software Engineer. I'm a keen organiser however, being involved in various tournament organisations both in the UK and Hungary.
