About the event

Business Week is a trip arranged for students to interact with companies. The ambition of the Business Week is to create a mutually beneficial exchange to bring the most committed and talented students and the most attractive employers together!

At Umeå University, the Business Week is a highly appreciated event that draws a lot of interest. Last year we had 20 students travel to Stockholm and Amsterdam where they got to learn about the business operations of different companies. Unfortunately, even after the sponsor input the price of the trip remained at around 4000 SEK which prevented potential participants from applying. This year our goal is to introduce the most driven students to an opportunity of being a part of an educational experience regardless of their financial background. The 20 carefully recruited participants will travel to international companies and cities, that will be decided shortly. The trip will take place at the end of March - beginning of April. 

The project is an initiative of HHUS, the student union of the Umeå Business School and a non-profit organization run by committed students, hard work and corporate sponsorship. To give our members the opportunity to visit companies both domestic and abroad, we are dependent on sponsorship to cover basic costs such as accommodation, food and travel.

In order to carry out this event, we are in need of sponsors who we could collaborate with! Your contribution would actively support sustainability within education, ensuring inclusive and equitable quality learning possibilities. Furthermore, you would enable the inequalities to be reduced in opening this project to everyone at Umeå School of Business and Economics.

Moreover, we will share a report and a presentation with you in which our experiences and development evoked from the project will be communicated to your organization.
