Bullish Conference 2017,

Washington, District of Columbia, United States Washington, District of Columbia, United States

  • About the event

The Bullish Conference is a career conference for driven, intelligent feminists who want to make the world and workplace better. An inspiring event for women of all stages of their careers, from students and entry-level employees to midcareer gentlewomen and elter stateswomen. Our speakers will cover topics like multiple income streams, negotiating like a woman and personal and career development.

    Why should you sponsor?

A collaboration with The Bullish Conference creates an intimate, natural relationship with the bullish attendees. 51% of Bullish readers have graduate degrees, 96% have purchased something online in the last month and 60% of them make more than $50,000 a year. These women are brand loyal and open to new companies who are women-focused and women-driven.

    Jenny Palkowitsh

Jennifer Dziura is the founder of GetBullish.com and the annual Bullish Conference.

Bullish is feminism- and justice-minded work talk from someone who believes in examining our relationship to corporations before simply “leaning in” to them.

Jennifer started her first company, an internet marketing firm, as an undergrad. She now runs an education company, is author or co-author of many educational books, and speaks at universities about designing your own career, networking without being fake, and defining your personal mission.

She believes you can make money and influence the world without being a jerk. She believes in working harder and smarter now, so you can have “balance” when you’re wrinkly and covered in diamonds. She believes in starting businesses on zero dollars, selling expensive things to rich people, and doing real things in the world rather than trying to “manifest your dreams.” She writes about class and gender issues in business, assertiveness, sexual ethics, “gentlewomanly living,” multiple income streams, and the value of women talking openly about money, careers, privilege, and influence. She doesn’t believe in telling women to act like men in order to succeed. She believes in risk taking, negotiating better by being genuinely willing to walk away, gentlewomanly living, gravitas, espresso, prosecco, and helping other women.

Jennifer started her first company, an internet marketing firm, during her sophomore year at Dartmouth College, where she majored in philosophy (and was, at one point, the first woman captain of the newly-reformed boxing team!) She had eight part-time employees by the time she graduated.

As an entrepreneur and intrapreneur in the education space, she has helped thousands of people beat the SAT, GRE, and GMAT. In her spare time, she co-hosts the Williamsburg Spelling Bee, the nation’s most popular adult spelling bee. Jennifer has appeared in a Sci Fi Channel pilot for the television show Brain Trust, was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Network, has been heard numerous times on NPR (all of them about spelling bees),  and is the author of or a contributor to over a dozen educational books and products.
