Three high school seniors formed a company under the YEA program to start an online newspaper. Modelle McRae, Courtney Williams and Khadijah Bennet were excited to start on this new venture together. After a successful three months of graduating the YEA program, Katch-Up was finally ready to bring media resources to our youth. But we soon to realize we would go our sperate ways into our educational paths at North Carolina A&T Univeristy and East Carolina University. So we had to take a break from out newly formed company and focus on our education.
Now in 2015 we have come up with the great idea to open up our very on recreational facility. Two of the Founders of the company Modelle McRae and Courtney Williams decided this would be the best solution to Laurinburg’s lack of recreational activities and facilities. Most important this would be a tax-free option in our community and would allow Katch-Up raise the money within a year to produce the facility.
