Brynmawr Art and Heritage Festival,

About the event

This is first Art and Heritage Festival hosted by The Business Forum of the town. The programme involves, schools, colleges, churches/chapels, artists, musicians, theatre, dance and a host of activities and entertainment for all ages. The first Saturday starts with a parade and then a demonstration of a Britain's Got Talent artist with lots of art workshops afterwards. During the week there is a packed programme of events for children and families.

The schools will have a poet, graffitti artist visiting the school and the children will be taking part in a poetry and art competition. The aim is to introduce people to galleries and art events that they may never have the opportunity to see otherwise.

There will be exhibitions by amateur and professional artists during the festival week with the theme being Funfairs. There will also be heritage photographs in museums and libraries and demonstrations by woodworkers etc.
