I am running solo around Australia to raise funds and awareness for four Australian charities. These charities are beyondblue, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the GO Foundation and the Smith Family. (I am authorised by each charity to do this).
The run will cover 15,000kms over 340 days.
I hope to raise at least $60,000 ($15,000 for each charity).
It is also a potential world first: no one has run solo around Australia previously.
As I'm running solo, I will push all my supplies and gear in a custom-made buggy - weighing approximately 90kg when fully stocked.
Why should you sponsor?
By sponsoring this event, you will increase the chances of reaching my fundraising target. You may also be part of a world first solo run around Australia.
You will also gain almost a complete year of potential advertising which, if all goes well, will get media coverage including TV, Radio and local newspapers.
Your logo will be on my buggy, flyers, business cards, website and other social media platforms.
I am a Navy veteran of 18 years service.
Last year I ran solo across Australia - 3,700kms - from Melbourne to Darwin as a 'warm-up' for this event. I camped along the road for about 60% of the time, and foresee doing the same thing this time.
