About the event
The South Asian Student Alliance (SASA) actively celebrates the diversity that continues to enrich the University of Washington Tacoma campus every day. Through club meetings that fuel discussion relevent to the South Asian community, and organized events such as Indian Lunch Hour, and Final Exam Holi Parties, SASA enlightens the student body and Tacoma community about South Asian culture.
On May 5th, SASA will be hosting the second-annual South Asian cultural event night where University of Washington students and faculty, as well as community members, can watch traditional Indian dance performances and dance the night away. The purpose of this event is to further promote the endeavors of SASA and allow individuals to visually learn up close about the various cultures of India; therefore, the event is free to attend but patrons must be 18 or over.
From potential sponsors, we would greatly appreciate food donations (e.g. pizza, cookies, sandwiches, chips, candy, etc.), non-alcoholic beverages, or monetary donations to help with other costs associated with making this event successful. Thank you for your time.
