About the event

Bold Beauty Projectis an innovative visual arts project that showcases 20 women livingwith various disabilities. Through the photographers’ creative lens, theaudience gets a glimpse into the lives of these incredible women andrecognizes their beauty, strength and sensuality — their BOLDNESS.

The concept is the same in each city. Large billboard-sizephotographs of twenty women over age 21 with physical and/or sensorydisabilities are displayed in an art gallery. The model’s narrativeexpression is placed next to each photo.

• Shine the spotlight on 20 courageous women with varying disabilities, and
• Help them to have a transformative experience
• Encourage the viewers to discover beauty in unexpected places
• Expand the definition of who and what is beautiful
• Appreciate the creativity of established photographers
• Impact a wide audience via social media, video, coffee-table book
• Create guidelines to replicate BBP in cities throughout the country
• Raise awareness and funds for UCP locally and nationall
