About the event

The Boise Music Awards is in it's third year hosting an event to recognize local musical talent along with those who help make those musicians dream a reality. Presented by Trained To Go Entertainment LLC and sponsored by local vendors, the Boise Music Awards creates an environment of appreciation and helps drive success among artists and groups in the area. BMAs provides intern opportunities to Boise State University students who are looking to make music or event planning a career and gives back to the Treasure valley community, creating a culture of inclusion and sustainability.

The BMAs is a great opportunity for local and outside vendors, businesses, and sponsors to assist in the dream of recognizing the struggles and hard work of local musicians and producers. Helping make the event a success guarantees making a difference and driving credibility for those individuals who have made music their life. The event also creates learning and experience opportunities for Boise State Interns that they may not otherwise be able to achieve living in Boise, ID.

Jessilyn King

My Name is Jessilyn King, I am the Event Director for 2019 Boise Music Awards. I have been in business for ten years, focusing primarily on marketing and customer drive. I have hosted several events for charitable organizations including The Red Cross, where I was stationed as Chair of Youth in Japan during the Earthquake and Tsunami in Sendai in 2011. I currently work full time as a catering manager along with voluntarily full time for The Boise Music Awards as I believe this is a worthwhile endeavor that can explode in the Northwest. Boise already hosts Treefort Music Festival, and is becoming the fastest growing city in the United Sates. It has been ranked among the top best places to live in the US and is considered the "Nicest" city in America. I'm hoping to find other individuals who are as passionate about this project as I am and can see the growth potential for an incredibly hungry market for something just like this.
