About the event
Black Excellence Awards Charity Fashion Show is designed to showcase outstanding achievement made by people of color in New-Brunswick. The Black Excellence Awards honors employers and individuals who are leaders in diversity, development, impact, and innovation. The Awards Gala welcomes over 60 honorees and leaders from across New-Brunswick. This year the quality of applications was outstanding and we are proud to recognize such exemplary leaders in our community. This event provides a unique opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of individuals and companies who have demonstrated strong leadership and have made a significant impact in our community. Along with the awards we will be hosting a charity fashion show where designers, makeup artist, hair stylist, photographers will get a chance to show case their work. Although we are awarding and recognizing people of color the event is full of diversity. We have people from all over the world helping out and part of our committee and our performers are volunteers of different nationalities. The Black Excellence awards seek to recognize people who:
Demonstrate that people of color can achieve, accomplish and attain excellence in wide and varied fields of endeavor which has the effect – as it is widely publicized in mainstream media – of gradually shattering those negative stereotypes and replacing them with positive ones.
Provide shining examples of accomplishment and excellence in the dedicated lives of its recipients, who highly qualify as role models for us and our children to emulate.
