    BIOTECHCELLENCE

     

    1. Biotechcellence - an amalgamation of intellect, ingenuity, and imagination- is a national level Technical symposium born from the co-operative efforts of Centre for Biotechnology (CBT) and Association of Biotechnologists. The symposium aims to highlight the advancements of Biotechnology in the Industrial, Medical, and Agricultural fields that have taken place over the years. It serves as a platform for students to exhibit their ideas, opinions, and research ideas. It also provides an excellent opportunity for the participants to interact with prominent personalities associated with Biotechnology and its related fields.

     

    1. Since its inception in 1994, Biotechcellence has evolved from a small-scale convention to a national level technical symposium. Over the past years, it has seen gradual increase in reception from students and the Biotechnology community alike.

     

     

    BIOTECHCELLENCE 2017

    Approaching its 23th edition this year, Biotechcellence has been a source of motivation and guidance for undergraduate students all over India.

     

    Biotechcellence 2017 will witness personalities from India and around the world engaging students for 3 days with focus on various advancements in the fields of biotechnology and life sciences.

     

    Exciting events lined up for this year include technical quiz, general quiz, debate, gaming, poster, paper presentation, etc. In addition to that certain online events like photography, treasure hunt, and short film contest have also been planned.

     

    Apart from focusing on technical and educational issues, Biotechcellence 2017 also looks into the improvement of the society, for which a number of initiatives and ideas have been brought under the tag of ‘PRO BTX’ namely,

    1. “IGNITE 2017”A two-day event for school children inspiring them to pursue science
    2. A health checkup camp
    3. Cycle rally as an awareness programme for obesity/cancer
    4. Helping out the underprivileged and specially challenged
    5. “JOY OF GIVING”, a charity programme to inculcate the idea of helping the needy to experience the real happiness.
