About the event
Miss California United States is the Official State Preliminary for The United States National Pageant.!
MISS UNITED STATES is based on a solid commitment to uphold the standards of fairness and integrity. We pride ourselves in celebrating over 30 years of empowering women, promoting positive self image and providing an avenue of achievement for ladies of all ages. But more importantly we are a family, a sisterhood that provides support and encouragement to inspire each delegate to be the best version of herself! I think you will find our program very rewarding.
We encourage each young woman to give a voice to those needing to be heard, lend a hand to those less fortunate, and be a compass for those daring to dream. At the local, state, and national level, the Miss United States Pageant gives women the opportunity to promote a platform of community service.

Not only would your contributions help me compete - by aiding with my entry fees, hotel, wardrobe, and transportation - but they would also grant me the ability to support my community with my non-profit in the works, CrownAdemy's Community Outreach Program. We have partnered up with Olive Crest (non-profit who helps foster children) to provide them with Personal Coaching for their future. 10% of all funds I recieve will be donated to CrownAdemy's Community Outreach Program with Olive Crest and all donations are Tax Deductible

I, Marcy Elizabeth Flores, believe that you have to be the change you want to see in the world. Which is why I have set out to sieze every opportuity that comes my way.
Here is a brief history of my 19 years of life: doctors told my mother she wouldnt be able to have healthy children because of her epilepsy and medication (high risk but here I am!), Started art at 5 (now a theather scenic painter at my college) and had art displayed at childrens museums, started to play viloin at age 10 (and competed yearly for 4 years at Spring festival in San Diego), took my SATs and ACTs at age 12 (qualifying to joing Johns Hopkins University's Center for Talented Youth), Took Astronomy at UCSC at age 12, Took Biotechnoloy at Moravaian College, PA at age 13, joined cheerleading (later performing for the NFL's Pro Bowl Half Time in Hawaii in 2014), joined Track 100m Hurdles at Immaculate Heart High School, Graduated from Immaculate Heart in 2014, February 2015 Achieved my first title of Miss Los Angeles Teen Icon 2015, June 2015 won title of Golden State's Perfect Teen (World's Perfect org), and today am currently in a Pre Med curriculum, transfering to USC.
In high school as a member of the Community Service Team, and director of Hospitality, I worked with over 30 non-profits in Los Angeles County including, Dogs for the Blind, Covenant House, Homeboy Industries etc.
Today, as a graduate of Califonia's Dual Imersion Program, I am an advocate for education and enrichment through the arts. I have a non-profit in the first stages of becoming certified, under the help of CrownAdemy and Olive Crest. My program focues on getting low income and at risk children the tools to succed in life. We offer a program based on expanding horizons and showing them that the sky is not the limit, and provinding them with the tools such as personal coaching to succeed and come out of the situations they were born into.
I love corny jokes, cycling and animals! I have a love for culture that can't be satisfied and fuel my interest by travel, food, taking anthropology courses, as well as philosophy courses. Netflix and adventures when I'm with friends.
