About the event

Beach Bash Family VBS is a 3-day family Vacation Bible School event free for everyone to attend. Very much unlike regular school, each night of family VBS is filled with fun, friends, crafts, games, songs, and a Bible-centered lesson presented through creative arts and media.

It will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 3 hours every night. Parents, guardians, and other family members are encouraged to stay and participate alongside their child/children to encourage family time and foster community growth.

In Beach Bash, participants will hear three Bible stories that took place along the sand or the surf. Each Bible lesson centers of Jesus and participants will learn what happens when they follow Jesus. Every participant (yes, even the adults!) will have a chance to create a craft and play a game that reinforces the Bible lesson.

There will also be prizes, songs, and new friendships to form!

Why should you sponsor?

Beach Bash Family VBS is a completely free event for anyone in the community to attend. The only requirement for participation is for every participant to register. This helps us keep the event safe for everyone involved.

Free Dinner
Our community has low to middle-income families. We provide a free dinner starting at 5:30pm to event participants. We hope this would help out the families in our area. In the past, we ask for donations from our congregants. Through a sponsorship, we can provide more food to more participants.

Free and Safe Programming
This free programming encourages children to get out of the streets and into some place safe. It gives them a chance to put away the video games and tech screens in exchange for wholesome fun and active play.

It also encourages families to spend time together. In Beach Bash, they eat together, learn together, and play together. This fosters a strong family relationship.

Beach Bash also fosters community growth, as we divide families in small groups based on the ages of their children. This connects families together who may otherwise never meet. The children make new friends, and the parents are connected to a support group where they can help each other navigate the stages their children are growing through.

All of our volunteers are trained in child development and emergency procedures. We do our best to keep our events safe and secure for all participants.

Harvest International Christian Church (HICC) is a Pentecostal church under the International Pentecostal Holiness Church denomination (PAC-West conference). They have been serving the San Jose area since 1992. They serve locally through home groups and globally through mission outreach and support.

Kingdom Kids is the Family Ministry of HICC. They seek to bring families together through family-centered events helping parents and children grow spiritually and relationally.
