Battleground SoCal is a friendly, family-focused fitness competition. Our mission is to bring together the socially-conscious CrossFit community in an effort to raise awareness and funding for a cause dear to our heart, Autism. Proceeds from the event benefit Train 4 Autism Foundation & its CrossFit for special needs projects. We sold out in December and now we are getting set to bring functional fitness back to Carson CA.
The event is individual and team competition includes 3 workouts which will test each athlete's endurance, strength, mental and physical toughness and their ability to overcome challenges with strategy and team work. This event will include olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, power lifting, CrossFit, and other sports challenges.
Events kickoff at 8am. Heats will be going off every 20-30 minutes throughout the day. This has been and will continue to be the largest functional fitness competition on the West Coast. We are sold out with over 550 athletes,, over 200 judges and volunteers, sponsors and vendors from every facet of the fitness, health and wellness sector, and over 80 gym and CrossFit affiliates from CA, WA, OR, NV, UT, AZ, TN, and HI.

In April 2014 a few CrossFit coaches, parents, and gym owners set out to create a beginner-friendly fitness competition to raise funds and awareness for World Autism Awareness Month. The event surpassed our modest expectations selling out with over 160 Competitors, drawing over 450 spectators, and over dozen vendors! In 2015 Battleground expanded to a 15,000 sq ft venue and drew an even larger crowd with over 250 competitors, 1,000 spectators, and several official CrossFit Games athletes!
Fast forward to 2020, Battleground has sold out every event and grown year over year. Battleground has upgraded professional equipment for a more professional Games-like athlete experience and now calls the Dignity Sports Health Park home. What started off as a just an idea in 2014 has grown into a space which can support 700 competitors, 4000 spectators, and over 100 vendors.
