About the event

Bar Monkey Events is delighted to announce the launch of the first Urban Culture Festival of it's kind!

This one day event will celebrate various forms of culture that focus on self-expression. Whether that is through movement, art or music, we are promoting all kinds at this special event.

We want attendants of this event to become amazed at what they witness on this day and come away from this having discovered a form of self-expression that inspires them to discover their own passion.

This event will celebrate forms of movement in the shape of Breakdancing, Parkour and Calisthenics, as well as various other forms of movement.

There will be displays of each on the day and also the opportunity to try and learn some of these movements for attendants.

We will also be hosting a calisthenics competition on the day which will feature leading calisthenics athletes from throughout the country and the UK.

There will be live music acts performing on the day, showing people how influential music can be and the amazing possibilities that exist within this.

There will also be food and drinks available on the day. There is no event of this kind fully focused on showing people the amazing potential that we have as human beings.

The aim of this event is to inspire every individual participant to go and find their own passion and discover what amazing possibilities exist within this when you become capable and confident enough to pursue your own goals.

Why should you sponsor?

This event is designed towards young people and encouraging them to take up a positive lifestyle. 

We are encouraging young people to take on these different forms of training and use them to inspire them to do positive things with their lives. We are encouraging kids to train in calisthenics instead of hanging around street corners. 

A sponsor shown supporting this event will be seen supporting this message, encouraging young people to take up a positive lifestyle. 

This event is being hugely followed on an international level. Our competition is being recognised with the World Calisthenics Organisation, with the winner recognised as Irish National Calisthenics Champion. This would give any potential sponsor the opportunity to be seen supporting this growing sport in Ireland from the beginning. 

Calisthenics is the fastest growing sport worldwide, has been voted the most popular fitness trend in the United States for the past two years - 2015 and 2016 - and this gives any potential sponsor the chance to get in ahead of the curve. 

This event is also in association with the Laura Lynn Foundation, with 10% of all ticket sales going towards Laura Lynn Children's Hospice.

Bar Monkey Festival is a concept brought together by Jamie Geraghty. 

The aim of the festival is to inspire attendants to find a form of self-expression through movement. We hope that everyone in attendance at this event is amazed at what thet witness and that it inspires others into believeing what the human body is capable of. 

So many different athletes from different training backgrounds coming together for one day to showcase their own styles and routines. 

This promises to be a truly unique and special event for all in attendance. 

Our purpose for this event is to inspire people into finding their own passion. Discovering something they are passionate about in life and seeing what happens when you pursue that ambition. 

This is what Calisthenics done for me and this is the main message I am trying to broadcast when I organise these events. Calisthenics completely changed my life because I felt I finally found something I was passionate about. My main goal ever since has been to help others find something that does the same for them. 

We hope this happens at this event.
