Sizzling Day of Bacon has something for everyone
The “Sizzling Day of Bacon” event is an over the top family focused grand opening celebration for the Pork Education Center which will attract a wide demographic of individuals from around the nation, excited for the grand opening of the only pork education center in the country focused on transparent pig farming. Additionally, the Pork Education Center is a non-profit facility with a mission to bring food to the table, pork information and industry standards as well as a transparent look into the world of pig farming.
The grand opening celebration will be hosted on the event grounds of Fair Oaks Farms adjacent to the new Pork Education Center as well as throughout the Center and Fair Oaks Campus.
The highlight of the grand opening celebration is a concert showcasing the world famous Bacon Brothers, featuring the one and only Kevin and Michael Bacon. Additionally, the celebration will include a battle of the chefs (pork cook off competition), pork samplings, entrance into the adventure and educational centers of Fair Oaks Farms, a special airing of the Redwood Kings episode highlighting the Pork Education Center’s custom tree house, and much more.
