About the event
Sigma Omicron Pi is an Asian-interest sorority that serves to promote unity, friendship, leadership, and service opportunities for women all across the US. We hold national service projects at our National Inter Chapter Council Convention each school semester- and for this spring semester, we are hosting the said showcase as our project!
Avant Garde is a benefit showcase were guests can bid on clothing that has been donated by up-and-coming fashion designers. All funds made from the bids will be donated to Autism Speaks and the Books of Asia. With about 200 sisters from all over California and the East Coast, we are all attending and hosting this event to ensure this would be huge success!
This fashion show will be sending proceeds to two organizations: Autism Speaks, an organization whose goal is to change the future for all who struggle with an autism spectrum disorder, and Books for Asia, under the Asian foundation, who puts one million brand-new books into the hands of students, educators, and local and national leaders in 20 countries annually.
