ASILA FEST,

The charitable music festival entitled "Asila Music Festival", its aim being to raise money in order to aid the refugees Koffinou Refugee Center. The Festival will take place between the 5^th until the 6^th of August 2016 in Dali. The initiative for the Festival is a collaboration between independent high school and university students as well as young entrepreneurs.

There will be two different music stages which will host 6 Cypriot live bands as well as 10 Cypriot DJs. The entrance fee for the Festival is 10 euro and refreshments will be available on site. The event co-ordinators along with the performing artists are all volunteers and none desire remuneration for their participation. Similarly the expenses incurred to cover the costs for the stage, sound, light and beverages have been negotiated at a favourable price due to the nature of the Festival.

All the proceeds from the Festival will be used to facilitate the "Asila Project" which will commence its operations in early September in collaboration with the Cypriot NGO, "Urban Gorillas". Specifically, the architectural team of Asila Project has designed infrastructure from sustainable eco-friendly materials. These constructions include, among others, an amphitheatre, a play-ground as well as botanical garden for the Kofinou Refugee Center. The designs are such as to minimise their cost whereas the D.I.Y nature of these projects makes it possible for the various volunteers to work alongside the refugees to set them up. The team has applied for partial E.U. sponshorship.

The current budget of the Project is unfortunately still rather limited. As a consequence, our organisation team would kindly request a sponsorship from your organisation, of any amount which you would be both willing and able to contribute to give this project the traction it needs.  We appreciate and thank you for taking the time to read this email.
