About the event
Summer Art Harrogate will take place at St Peter’s Church, Cambridge Street, Harrogate from noon Monday 13 July to noon Monday 20 July and on all other days from 10.30 to 17.30.
The exhibition will showcase the work of local artists from Harrogate and the surrounding area. There are a large number of talented artists working in the area and we present a selection of their work including establishes artists to those just starting out on their creative life. On show will be paintings, prints, stained glass, jewellery and glassware.
They all need your support to continue creating art works that can enhance our lives.
This year’s exhibition is raising money for charity and a percentage from sale of works will be donated to the Lymphoma Association.
This event will coincide with the Harrogate International Festival which brings many visitors into Harrogate the venue is situated in the main shopping street which will have a large footfall. The Great Yorkshire Show also coincides with this event and these two events will create an increase in the potential and especially people interested in the varied art forms available to view and buy. The range of prices will be from £10 to several hundreds. many of the artists will be available to talk to people about their creations.
The event will officially be opened by The Mayor and Mayoress of Harrogate.
We will promote the event through social media, Facebook and Twitter, it will be on Visit Harrogate and on Stray FM. We are meeting with the local paper features editor to promote Art Harrogate, the Harrogate Advertiser.
Sponsors will be included in any media promotion and acknowledge throughout the event.

To promote Art Harrogate there is a need to have suitable fliers and posters and to have an event programme providing information about the individual artists.

Art Harrogate is an Arts exhibition showcasing the talent of the local artists from the Harrogate and surrounding areas. To allow artists to show their works to a wider audience we need to hire central premises, market the event via social media, local papers and radio.
