About the event

Art Bradford 2015 is a new and exciting major event taking place over the weekend of 14 and 15 November at Forster’s Bistro and in a marquee outside in Centenary Square, Bradford which will run alongside the switching on of Bradford City Christmas Lights when over 14,000 people will be in the square on Saturday evening 14 November. The event will open 12 noon until 12 midnight.

Mike Gibbon, who was the previous Lord Mayor of Bradford, has kindly agreed to be the Patron of Art Bradford

This new first ever event will showcase the work of local talent in many differing media (including paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, jewellery, ceramics and glassware) from the internationally acclaimed to those starting out, and the art of food and the art of wine and drink.  The work of 40 artists will be on display over the weekend and some of the artists will continue to exhibit their work at Forster’s Bistro until February 2016.Live music from a number of local talented people/groups will feature during the weekend.

The marquee will feature the live music and over 30 food and drink stalls, and the theme will be similar to a German Market. A number of major companies have already signed to take part.

Sunday will be a family orientated day and when artists will be demonstrating how they create their artworks and people will be able to join in and watch works being produced. On Sunday evening 15 November there will be a charity gala dinner and art auction and Forster’s are now taking booking for what should be great occasion.

The event will raise money for two charities: The Lymphoma Association and the Bradford Marie Curie Hospice.
