APO AZB will be hosting a 5K run to stand up to cancer!
It will be held on April 30, 2016, and registration will open on March 1st.Alpha Phi Omega is a national coeducational service organization founded on the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service. It provides its members the opportunity to develop leadership skills as they volunteer on their campus, in their community, to the nation, and to the organization. With more than 400,000 members on over 375 campuses, Alpha Phi Omega continues to provide more service on more campuses than any other collegiate service organization.Stand Up To Cancer’s (SU2C) mission is to raise funds to accelerate the pace of groundbreaking translational research that can get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives now.SU2C brings together the best and the brightest researchers and mandates collaboration among the cancer community. By galvanizing the entertainment industry, SU2C has set out to generate awareness, educate the public on cancer prevention and help more people diagnosed with cancer become long-term survivors. Since Stand Up To Cancer was founded in May 2008, over 166 clinical trials have been planned, initiated, or completed by SU2C scientists, in which more than 6,000 patients have participated.100% of donations received from the publicsupport collaborative cancer research programs.
In order for this race to come together, we need donations and sponsors willing to support our efforts. If this race comes together, we have the potential of raising over $50,000 for Stand Up To Cancer. Join us and be recognized for all the help you provided.
