Anti-Bullying Day,

United States United States

  • About the event

Student Transportation Inc. is the third-largest and most progressive provider of school bus transportation services in North America. STI operates in 17 states and one Canadian province for more than 250 school districts. We provide transportation for over one million children to and from school every day.

Student Transportation Inc.'s "Anti-Bullying Day" is our effort to stand up against bullying, whether in school, at home, or on the bus. Now in our fourth year recognizing October 1st as Anti-Bullying Day, our mission is to take a stand against bullying, understand its negative effects, encourage students to be themselves without fear of ridicule, and also see the bus driver as an ally against bullying.

To kick off an entire month of Anti-Bullying programs and messaging, our 10,000+ bus drivers will be wearing light blue shirts to designate themselves as STI Allies on October 1st. We are searching for companies to join us in this stand against bullying and help sponsor this year's event through various forms of branding, communications, and media. Anti-Bullying Day is a company-wide event spread across 17 US states and Ontario, Canada. This includes over 12,000 school buses and 250 school districts across America.

We transport over one million children to and from school every day who will participate in this event. Our target audience is children between the ages of 5 and 18 who are still in K-12 schools, ride on our buses, and may be exposed to bullying. Parents, school officials, and our employees will also receive communications and branding from this event throughout the month. Our operations are located primarily in suburban and rural areas, however we do provide service in and around many major markets such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, San Jose, Omaha, Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and more. This program will be promoted in ALL of these markets.
