About the event
he GOAL of the AVB is to CONNECT our PAST and PRESENT military veterans to our nation’s next generation and FUTURE leaders of America while keeping them true to the Red, White, & Blue. (SOW, REAP, GROW)
It will also serve and provide veterans of “ALL” the Armed Forces the opportunity to participate in a customary annual event comparable to those of our active service components. We believe that an event such as the AVB, not only fosters a way to contribute towards youth development and communities, but also creates that pathway to reignite, connect with, and maintain our patriotism with our fellow brothers and sisters through this unique event for years to come.Why should you sponsor?
We believe that an event such as the AVB, not only fosters a way to contribute towards youth development, leadership, and communities, but also creates that pathway to reignite, connect with, and maintain our patriotism. Proceeds from this event serve to support youth attending camp for military dependents as well as other local military support efforts. All funds raised at the event nity will benefit veterans and youth of the community.
This event is open to ALL veterans, guests, civilian supporting arms, as well as the general public. Amanda ShermanAmanda Sherman –Founder & CEO of APS Events and Travel and Co-Founder of Charlotte Event & Meeting Planners Association. Amanda Sherman has worked all aspects of the industry of event planning. Amanda started planning events in 1988 as a hobby. Planning her cousin’s wedding and her best friend she later started reaching out to other family members without even knowing this would become a passion and not a job. Amanda grew up in Forest Hills, NY where there was always a need to plan an event.
Amanda has strong communication skills geared to both internal leadership and providing outstanding customer service. She is an excellent multi-tasker and is very organized. Not only is Amanda detailed oriented, but she is also passionate about customer service and building relationships. Amanda works hard to ensure wonderful and stress-free events.
Being a part of an organization that believes in helping our Veterans and giving back this American Veterans Ball is a wonderful opportunity to say thank to our Veterans for serving our country.
