About the event
The Bill McLaren Foundation will be hosting an inaugural Long Lunch with Sean Fitzpatrick & Andy Nicol at Ayr Racecourse on the 8th of May, 2015.
This showcase event will be the first of it’s kind in the region and will be a fantastic opportunity to hear from two all-time legends of the modern game.
Attended by 500-600 Corporate guests from a range of local businesses and multi-nationals to enjoy an afternoon of unique rugby entertainment, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere providing an excellent social & networking environment.
Our host Andy Nicol, is a BBC presenter and former Scotland Captain & British Lion. A proud supporter of the Foundation, Andy will pack the afternoon with rugby anecdotes and memories of Bill McLaren, who he believes is treasured by rugby fans everywhere for his passionate, knowledgeable and impartial style of commentary.
Sean Fitzpatrick is widely regarded as one of the finest players ever to have come from New Zealand. Following the huge success and warm reception received at other recent events, we anticipate a colourful and inspirational insight into what it means to be an All Black and the responsibility that comes with being their Captain on over 50 occasions.
Packed with entertainment and tales of sporting triumph, the relaxed and informal atmosphere of the afternoon also provides ample networking opportunities. There will be a Silent and Live Auction to help raise funds that the Foundation has pledged to invest in support of Rugby Clubs in Ayrshire.
The Foundation was set-up 5 years ago with Bill’s blessing and the support of his family to;

Event Photo Booth Sponsorship Highly popular at social events, the Photobooth will be available for 2 hours during the afternoon where guests can receive individual photos to commemorate their experience. Our Guest Speakers will also be available to auction instant pictures of themselves with guests to further raise funds. As sponsor of the Photobooth, your company logo will feature on all produced images received by the guests. Your company will also have the opportunity to launch the experience at the event and be photographed with our Guest Speakers along with the founding We will provide you with a full copy of all images post event.
