The charity AgeUK have committed to take on the PCA Masters cricket team in a charity match on Sunday 24th August at Grappenhall Cricket club in Warrington. The PCA masters are a team of ex England internationals who play games against local cricket teams and charities with a view to raise money. Last year the PCA Masters played at the same venue against a legends team and the event was sponsored by Betfred, the cricket club sold nearly 3000 tickets on the day to spectators. Local TV and radio covered the event. The AgeUK cricket event will include a 20/20 match followed by a sportsman's evening where all the PCA team will be included in a 250 guest sit down meal, auction,PCA masters guest speaking, comedian, raffle and disco.
The PCA team is likely to consist of ex internationals such as Mark Ramprakash, Neil Fairbrother, John Emburey and Steve Harmison whereas the AgeUK team will hopefully be represented by Derek Randell and employees of AgeUK.
Advertising opportunities for the day include perimeter advertising, programme listing, TV and radio interviews, top table listing and the package will also include a nine seat table at the evening function with a PCA masters player as a guest.
