About the event
The McMaster African Students Association (MacAfricans) presents, and cordially invites you to AFROFEST 2016: THE RECKONING.
For many years, we have focused on celebrating African culture through acting, singing, dancing and other performances.
This year, we've decided to take it one step further and bring you a production that covers the richness of African culture while also seeking to ENGAGE, EDUCATE, & ENTERTAIN you. We highlight the issues that plague our continent through a play and amazing performances.
Come and experience an epic tale that showcases African culture through dance, music, poetry, fashion, and drama.
Our zeal to incite change has inspired us beyond Afrofest. This year, proceeds from The Reckoning will be used to fuel our $25,000 scholarship fund for African Students at McMaster University. We hope our show will inspire, as well as drive change for our continent. On Saturday, 19th of March, join The Reckoning.
