    Featured Topics:
Lean UX Great design is in the details. It’s imperative to implement a design process with principles and tools to consistently and predictably achieve transformative results. Whether you’re at a small start-up, a fortune 500 company, or somewhere in between, the Lean UX design process allows you to move faster than ever and gain a competitive advantage by removing waste, increasing cross-functional collaboration, and embracing a culture of experimentation. This process allows you to think about the problem, make design artifacts, and check your solutions. Along with a good understanding of the Think > Make > Check cycle that drives the Lean UX design process, you’ll have the necessary tools to create the best experiences for the most important stakeholders -- your users.

Designing UberEATS UberEATS started as an experiment in Los Angeles in 2014. Now, it’s a full-fledged product in a dozen cities along with its own standalone app. How did city teams run a food delivery service within the Uber app? What was the role of design in this process? Take a peek behind the scenes of how we made the UberEATS app. Zhen will share her insights about working within a unique cross-disciplinary team and why empathy for your teammates goes a long way.

How to Sell Your Team on Good Design Good design is about more than just having the sexiest product, or the best designers. Good design is about influencing change within an engineering organization so that EVERYONE supports the creation of excellent user experience. From negotiating human centered design considerations in NASA spacecraft, to styling test and verification equipment for oil & gas giant Halliburton, Evan Twyford has worked as a designer within some of the most conservative and rigid thinking engineering organizations, and being the only creative on a team of hard-line engineers can be a challenge. In this presentation, Twyford is going to show you what it takes to break through and spend less time fighting for a seat at the table, and more time designing really great products.

You will receive an Academy OX Transformative Design Certification upon completion of this course.
