About the event
To showcase the talents of the youth in the Conejo Valley, high school seniors Matthew Michalek and Sami Johnson conduct a big band and orchestra performing their own original music.
Why should you sponsor?
As high school students, we do not have the funds to cover such an event. However, this should not prevent the opportunity for us to share our talents and try our hand at composing, conducting, and performing original music for a wide audience.
Sami JohnsonMy name is Sami Johnson and I am a senior at Thousand Oaks High School, as is my partner Matthew Michalek. As my senior project before I go off to college I have decided to put on this concert to attempt to explore a new passion of mine, and I cannot do it without the help of sponsorships. I have been involved in music all of my life, including 12 years of piano, 9 years of viola, and 3 years of guitar. Now I have uncovered my passion for musical composition, and with your help I hope to share my talents with anyone who will listen.
