  • About the event

A Decade of Dimensions will not only be live in downtown Los Angeles but will also be shown online in a virtual art gallery. This will allow users to walk through the gallery as if they were there in person. The addition of virtual and augmented reality to the arts will bring the industry up to date. The event hopes to inspire museums and galleries to add virtual components to their works not only to support participation but also to provide accessibility for people with disabilities.

Guests will be able to network with metaverse avatars and walk around the virtual gallery as if they were there in person.

    Why should you sponsor?

As a black woman, I will be the first revolutionary face of diversity in this industry. It's still gatekept, but I want to break through the doors and allow other people who don't have access to this industry to work in it. I want to make a big effort with high school and college students from predominantly black and brown communities to give them the opportunity to get involved in mixed reality spaces and hopefully inspire students to enter the industry.

I want to bring art to communities without changing the composition of a neighborhood. This means I don't want to create disruptive art that moves communities and cultures, but instead enhances what's already there. As an East Coast artist, I want to showcase in the LA art market my work.  I've been doing augmented reality work since 2017 and I'm more of a teacher than a gatekeeper. If I can unite the arts and technology community within the community I come from, I can bridge the racial gaps in the arts and technology industry.

    Denise Coke

My name is Denise Coke and I am the heart of $NP Designs. I am from Jamaica, Queens, currently living in Costa Mesa, California. I've been drawing all my life. As far as I can recall, I drew books that my mother had at home and constantly created stories and plays that I made my siblings perform with me. I guess you could say I've always been creative.  I didn't grow up with a lot of money. I come from a middle-class family. My mother is from Harlem and my father is from Jamaica and came to America when he was a teenager. I am the eldest of 3 children. As the oldest, I often felt lonely and it doesn't help I was bullied growing up. But I found myself having fun and was always looking for new things to do that kept me entertained. I went to The High School of Fashion Industries for Fashion Design and quickly realized I did not like constructing garments but rather liked doing fashion illustration. After high school, I went to the University of Bridgeport's Shintaro Akatsu School of Design where I obtained my BFA in Graphic Design. College was really the beginning of my professional career because while yes, I was learning, I was also establishing my business and accepting design orders.

I started solo art shows when I realized that galleries and museums didn't want my work in them. I also don't like the politics of the traditional art industry and wanted to make art accessible to everyone no matter where you come from and what your social/economic status is. This is why I had my first solo show in Brooklyn, NY in 2017, where I launched my website. My show in 2018 was called SILVER JUBILEE and my show in 2019 was The Rainbow Room.
