    A Classic Affair in Wonderland is a Bridal Event bringing together localinnovative vendors with couples who are in search of ways to make theirwedding day beautiful and uniquely their own.


    What is A Classic Affair?

                   A Classic Affair is an event planning business that was born in 2014after a few small local wedding businesses realized the need forsomething different in the Portland wedding world.  A Classic Affair isan LLC with Amber Hempen Photography and Power of Love Rentals.

     

    What we do

    AClassic Affair Bridal Events are all about the experience.  Not onlythe experience for our guests, but for our vendors.  We take pride infeaturing smaller local businesses, which enables us to work with eachvendor on a personal level.  At A Classic Affair, we strive to break themold on bridal events.  Our goal is to create an interactive experiencewith activities, workshops and style vignettes where couples who areplanning their weddings can mingle with talented vendors who care abouttheir clients as much as we do.

     

    Why we do what we do

                   So many of the bridal shows are out of budget for smaller businesses,and have lost the personal touch.  A Classic Affair was created to be anaffordable, personal and innovative option to the bigger bridal shows. We don’t produce shows.  We produce experiences. 

     

    What we have done in the past

             In March 2015, we produced our first bridal event, A Classic Affair, atGray Gables Estate.  The theme for the evening was taking a step backin time to the swanky era of Mad Men and Audrey Hepburn.  We hadapproximately 150 guests, with around 75 brides.

             We are currently producing A Classic Affair in Wonderland.  Gray GablesEstate will be our repeat host, with vendors scattered throughout thegardens of the Estate, in the Bride’s Cottage, in the Groom’s CarriageHouse, and the classic ballroom.  It will be a garden tea party with aPortland edge.  A little bit of steampunk, a little Wonderland and awhole lot of fun!
