About the event
FilmGate Interactive is an Interactive Media Festival exploring how emerging technology empowers the content of the future. We redefine the way we conceive and share our stories, together, democratically and inclusively, representing the diverse voices of our extended region. Over five days during Art Basel week Miami, FIlmGate Interactive will celebrate visual storytellers and supporting industries through screenings, exhibits, creative labs, master classes, immersive art installations, music, and live events.
In 2022, audiences and creators will be invited to attend virtually and in person. Our programming is focused on indoor and outdoor, accessible installations, as well as the most impactful interactive and immersive projects from around the world. As we approach a united virtual space at increasing rate, aka "The Metaverse", we explore the multiverses and 3D spaces that are paving the roads to the future.

Shelby StoneFilmGate is a not-for-profit film and new technology organization that empowers media creators working in Florida. This is our 9th Interactive Film Festival, and we continue to be one of the most expansive Art Basel events in the city.
