About the event

HealthStart helps kids build strong brains and bodies through science-based health education so they can reach their full potential and contribute to our communities. Last summer HealthStart piloted a series of Children’s Health Education Workshop Series (CHEWS) at the Southeast Health and Wellness Clinic in Montopolis. Our pilot reached about 120 kids and their parents. Participants learned from hands-on stories and activities how to feed every part of their body to stay healthy 

For the past 6 years, HealthStart’s annual I Heart HealthStart event has helped raise money so children can build a strong foundation for life long well-being. This year we are eager to expand HealthStart’s CHEWS. Our goal is to raise $25,000 so that we can double the number of children we reach through these fun, interactive workshops 

I Heart HealthStart will take place on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Gather on North Lamar. We have many levels of sponsorship. I ask you to consider an I Heart HealthStart event sponsorship. Every dollar of your sponsorship supports our mission and our programs

These children have successfully learned how to nourish their bodies, what role physical fitness plays in good health, and why caring for one another and taking care of our environment is essential for a healthy community.
