  • About the event

    Spread the Purple is will be hosting a 5K Run/Walk fundraiser to raise funds in order to help New Jersey Residence, who struggle to pay for oil, stay warm for the winter months. This event is to encourage the following:

    • Become or stay active during his/her daily routines
    • Become more health conscious through the type of food him/her eat.
    • Show how wellness can encourage a person/family to adopt or maintain healthy lifestyles.

    Our organization will achieve an event that promotes a healthier mindset for living. This, usually, done through our vendors, such as

    1) A local cooking school will be offering student chefs that will cook Healthy food.

    2) Nutritional teachings from a professional dietitian as a pledge towards promoting a healthier lifestyle.

    3) There will be professional fitness trainers providing tips, through a demonstration on how to increase daily exercise into his/her daily activities.

    4) Promoting cost saving tips within local community businesses in their area in order to continue his/her pledge for a healthy lifestyle.

    Spread The Purple is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization who is devoted to making a difference in the community. It is our mission to provide guidance to both individuals and families for the right resources and assistance they can use during unexpected circumstance.  One of the ways we assist is through our fundraisers, such our 5K Run.

    Our annual 5K Run  will take place on Saturday, September 02, 2017 at Brookdale Park, West Circuit Drive, Montclair, NJ 07043. This year’s theme is Run/Walk For Warmth. Our goal is to raise $60,000 dollars that will be used to provide funds towards oil to heat fifty families’ homes during the winter months. In order to meet this goal, we are asking for sponsorships from local businesses and individuals such as yourself.

    We ask that you will consider becoming our sponsor by choosing one of our sponsorship levels. Your donation will be recognized at our event in several ways. As a sponsor, your name will be placed on all marketing materials, banners, social media, and website that publicizes the event as well as announced verbally at the event itself.

    Spread The Purple relies on the support of generous donors. Your donation will help ensure the success of our future.  Remember that every donation makes a difference, regardless of size.

    The purpose of this nonprofit is to act as a community support system. If you are feeling overwhelmed by financial obligations, worried about your families health or well-being or stressed about an unexpected circumstance or situation – let us help you. We are here to help, guide and advocated for you. We know who to talk to, where to turn and the right questions to ask.

    Our target audience is more towards the low income working class, unemployed, mental health, and ex-offending communities. In addition, Spread The Purple also will provide educational tools that will allow an individual or family to continue their efforts to strive in a positive light.
