About the event
The Annual Roosevelt Charitable Golf Tournament is the oldest charitable golf tournament in Oregon. All are welcome! All proceeds are donated to Roosevelt High School student activities.
The Roosevelt Booster Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization working to supplement and support student programs by providing financial assistance to extracurricular clubs, the arts, and athletics, thereby enhancing the school programs at Roosevelt High School, and the lives of the students.

The Roosevelt Booster Club will host their 59th Annual Roosevelt Charitable Golf Tournament to benefit Roosevelt High School student activities on Saturday, September 7th, 2019, at Club Green Meadows in Vancouver, Washington.
Roosevelt High School in St. Johns, Portland, Oregon, serves an underprivilaged demographic, and is one of the most ethnically diverse high schools in all of Oregon. The majority of students come from economically challenged backgrounds, and struggle to prioritize education while having to work full time to help support the fmaily, or babysitting younger siblings so their parents can go to work.
Though the school has a history of low graduation rates, and high dropout rates, the Roosevelt Booster Club believes that extracurricular activities gives student the incentive to stay in school. We want to help alleviate the financial burdens that extracurricular activities present to low income families.
The primary demographic of golf tournament participants are upper middle class, white, male retirees, who golf in their leisure time. Our secondary demographics include upper middle class white female retirees who golf for recreation, and upper middle class, middle aged white male college graduates.

Meet the golf tournament planning committee!
Pat and Denise Hoffert: High school sweethearts and Roosevelt graduates. Their children attended Roosevelt, Denise worked in the office at Roosevelt, and their grown daughter taught Spanish and was the cheerleading coach at Roosevelt.
John Teuscher: His children attended Roosevelt, He was the soccer coach until recently, and still lives in the neighborhood.
Genevieve C. West: Third generation Roosevelt graduate, fifth generation St. Johns, former cheerleading coach, current Roosevelt parent, and still lives in the neighborhood.
