About the event
54 is a startup weekend event where multidisciplinary teams of students from various academic backgrounds plan, build and launch a startup with their fellow participants in 54 hours. It is not modeled after hackathons. Teams will need designers, developers, businesspeople, marketers, and you.
Most importantly, 54 builds strong friendships and sustainable businesses that last well after the event is over because startups are powered aircraft, not projectiles.*

Subarna BhattacharjeeFounders is the new student entrepreneurship organization at the University of Illinois. In past years, entrepreneurial efforts on campus have been disconnected and scattered. Founders unifies the lost organizations across campus. We have strong ties with the Technology Entrepreneur Center to ensure a cohesive entrepreneurial experience.
We want our members to succeed. In order for that to happen, we must have a strong culture and environment that educates, inspires, and motivates the right people forward. We are interdisciplinary, open minded, and innovative.
