The Beverly Farms – Prides Crossing Fourth of July Committee runs the annual Independence Day celebration that traces its roots back to the 1880’s. The 4th of July, over time, has developed into a highly anticipated annual homecoming event for current and former Farms-Prides residents.
The Farms-Prides 4th of July Parade is a very special event. The majority of the Parade is comprised of floats entered by individuals and neighborhoods from the greater Farms-Prides area. These floats often poke fun at current events, local issues, and national politics. Although there are many musical entries, the local participation is what gives the Parade its special character.
Rounding out the holiday events, the Committee also sponsors the House Decorating Contest, the Bike Decorating, the post Parade “Old Timers” adult softball game at Dix Park, races and games at West Beach on the afternoon of the 4th, and musical entertainment at the Beach leading up to the fireworks.
All money raised by the Committee to provide the celebration comes from the local community. There is no government or grant funding received to support this great tradition. A major fundraising event is the annual auction held on the first Saturday in April each year at the Hastings House, the location of the Farms-Prides Community Association. Additionally, starting in June and continuing right through the holiday, wristbands are sold at various business locations and by volunteers who solicit donations door to door.
My name is Stefani Palazzi. I live in Beverly and volunteer as the Co-President of the Farms/Prides 4th of July Committee.
The Farms/Prides 4th of July Committee is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID Number: 20-8442173). We receive no government or grant funding to help operate this great tradition dating back to the 1880’s. Our annual budget exceeds $153,000 which is raised through fundraisers and wristband sales, which are needed to attend the fireworks.
Your support would mean so much to us and our town. We look forward to you becoming a valued partner and helping us make this year's 4th celebration the best one yet.

With this year marking the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, it would be a meaningful moment to elevate our Parade with a performance of the National Anthem that feels both impactful and memorable. One of the options we have looked into is having Todd Angilly singer of the Boston Bruins begin the parade with his iconic voice. Benefits include signage in the square where the performance will held and top-tier social media mentions.
