2nd Annual Battle for the Troops,

About the event

Battle for the Troops is a family oriented sport martial art tournament (non-mma) which invites people from all all ages races, and creeds to come together in a friendly competition environment. While sport karate is not a mainstream sport like that of baseball or football it is slowly making its way throughout America and has opened the doors for many famous people throughout its conception with notable celebrities such as Taylor Lautner, of the Twilight movies, Chuck Norris of many notable movies and TV shows, Cynthia Rothrock, a Hong Kong film star, Arlene Limas, gold medal winner of the 1988 Olympics. The popularity of these types of tournaments are starting to reach main stream media with the likes of US Open Martial Arts Championship being televised on ESPN2 for the past 5 years. 

It is the goal of our event tournament to continue this long line of history by providing a creative outlet for those who participate in the martial arts, through national quality sport martial arts, allowing them to meet, greet, learn and compete with their peers nationwide as well as well as worldwide.  This championship event offers a diversity of cultures as reflected by the individual participants from all regions and ethnic groups across the country and the world.  These participants will have the opportunity to showcase their talents.

Last year we teamed up with Wounded Warrior Project and Inspire A Generation Fund to help raise funds for both charities by donating a percentage of our the competitor fee and spectator fee to each of the organizations.  Because of a successful first year, we are working with them both again for this year.  With your help we are hoping to double our donation.
